A few years ago, I played the original Zelda game from NES. Those big pixels still transported me to a hostile land full of adventures. These series of 24 illustrations show some of the highlights of that adventure, in a retro videogame manual style.

For the 35th anniversary of Zelda I wanted to create a continuation of the very first Zelda while adding easter eggs from the whole saga. The goal was to capture the adventurous feeling of the game while telling a new unfolding story.

I made this fight scene, portraying how I felt playing it as a kid. The challenge was to animate the full fight and camera moves in one shot.

A year later I set myself to do yet another fight scene from the same game. If you-ve played it, you know how it felt to cross this room!

I have played Zelda games since I was a kid and they've had a big impact in my life and in my personal taste.
