These two videos are part of an experiment I made to test if I could get some believable performance in organic and fleshy characters. With a very limited scope in both shots, very focalised to get a specific result, I was able to create the assets without caring about whole body characters. The white clay shading is just to express the test idea on the characters.

I made very limited rigs, often using blendshapes for deformations, such as breathing or muscle movement of the bat arm. I simulated the wing using a plugin for 3DsMax, it was from Deform Dynamics, but since the web page has dissapeared I am assuming the plugin is not available anymore.

Hope you like it and feel free to ask questions about specific parts of the process in the comments!
